ghostpatroladvance:

I’m deeply honoured to be invited to travel to North Eastern Arnhem Land to connect with Djalu Gurriwiwi. Djalu is a community elder and the spiritual custodian of the Yidaki (Didgeridoo), carrying ancient song lines that stretch back 60,000 years.

The director Ben Stunin has been working with Djalu for over 5 years and is adopted member of his family. To fully realise this film, this August we are travelling to Djalu’s spiritual homeland in Northern Australia to make the final records of his story, given his current health.

The project pulls in Gotye, Søren Solkær, Nick Cave, Christos Tsiolkas and myself, to connect with and illustrate Djalu’s story in our own ways.

I am beyond excited to see this project realised, and have donated all my own costs to be a part of it. However, it’s a long road, and there is still a bit to go. If you’re able to contribute it any way, it would be incredible – there are more details below, including the print edition that I’ve donated as well;

Thank you,
